Coach Nick Romano has selected Andrew Clark as the starting pitcher for the series opener. Andrew Clark is a left-handed arm who has been with the organization for four years. He has established himself as the team’s most reliable starter of the pitching rotation throughout his tenure with the club. His experience and leadership will be vital as he faces the Venezuelan opponent in the first series. Clark brings an impressive resume to the mound. Over his four seasons he has compiled a career record of 32 wins and 18 losses. His ERA stands at 3.15 with over 440 strikeouts across 480 innings of work. He has consistently been a dominant force whenever he takes the rubber.

His performance during spring training was equally impressive. He pitched in two games and won both of them. His velocity was a constant threat to batters with an average fastball sitting at 95 MPH. He looked sharp in every outing and showed no signs of rust. The starting pitchers for the second and third games of the series have not been decided yet. Coach Romano is still evaluating the best options for those games. We will announce those names closer to the start of each game. Keep an eye out for updates.
