Spring Training is Here

Today marks the official start of spring training for the Texan Revenants. We are kicking off camp on March 12th, with a clear goal in mind. There are 34 total players reporting to Dallas for the preseason, and everyone is ready to compete for a spot on the roster for the season opener.

This year brings a fresh wave of talent to the organization. We have officially signed four new players who are participating in their first official spring training with the club. These additions include:

  • Jeremiah Brown (P)
  • Xander De Leon (INF)
  • Isiah Grant (OF)
  • Seiya Takumi (P/OF)

We approached Coach Romano on the field before their first practice to get a word on his thoughts for our new player additions.

I’m extremely excited to see how our new players mesh with the current staff and players. I’ve heard great things about each of these individuals, and I know they’re going to do great things for us this season.

— Coach Romano

These players have already shown promise in their backgrounds, and we are excited to see how they fit into the system.

In addition to the new signings, we have extended invitations to seven other players from local and international organizations. These invited members are often a mix of professional and amateur talent looking to impress the coaching staff during this evaluation window. They will practice and compete directly with the current players to demonstrate their prowess. The invited players include:

  • Diego Fernandez (C)
  • Darius Jackson (OF)
  • Hiroshi Matsuda (P)
  • Jake Ruiz (INF)
  • Derek Chambers (P)
  • Jamel Thompson (OF)
  • Rafael Estevez (P)

The spring training schedule is set to conclude with six total games. These games will take place during the tail end of the preseason in East/West Valley, Arizona. We have lined up a mix of opponents, including pro-level talent, local amateur clubs, and other up and coming clubs. This variety will help us test the roster against different styles of play.

We cannot wait for the season to begin. This camp is the first step in building the foundation for the Texan Revenants 2026 roster. Stay tuned for updates on roster changes and the final roster announcement as we get closer to the regular season start.
